Bio

The (half) Full Story

Would you believe that a Molecular Virologist sought the path of Yoga?

I started my adult life with big ambitions to become an accomplished researcher in the biomedical field. And guess what? I got there. BUT there was something missing. And that was internal validation. That's when I turned to my old love. Yoga. Yoga as a tool rather than a solution. A tool to extend the amount of time I am present rather than imagining catastrophic scenarios or daydreaming. A tool to look within me for everything I need, so I can make my human experience joyful. Thai Massage, Aerial Yoga & Acrobatics and Sound healing came somewhere along the way.

Mission

Offering CUSTOMIZED Yoga, Massage and Sound Healing sessions to my clients. And when required, detaching myself from the idea/plan I had about today's session, since different people have different needs but most importantly the same person has different needs on different days.

Vision

A lifestyle that is free from the stress of performance. This translates into teaching the style of Yoga that is free from the stress of performance. So release expectation & come as you are. The rest is already on its way.

Studies & Certifications

  • MSc in Molecular Biology & Pathology of Viruses, Imperial College, London, UK (Thesis at Francis Crick Institute)

  • BSc in Biology, National University of Athens, Greece

  • 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training

  • Thai Massage Training (Osteopathic & Yogic Approach)

  • Aerial Yoga Teacher Training

  • Sound Healing Training

  • And the show must go on. The best part is attending workshops with teachers from all over the world and consistently practicing with my favorite teachers.

Yoga Principles

My teaching approach is based on the foundations of Vinyasa & Yin Yoga. Moreover, I'm working on understanding the why's & how to's of my self-practice through the Traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga lineage. I picked up Aerial Yoga, because it is FUN. Some days I lie on my mat, breathe & rest. And that is OK.

Thai Massage Principles

I had the chance to learn this healing tool from an Osteopath & a Yoga Teacher, so I incorporated both schools of thought in my Thai Massage Ritual, alongside my own personal additions, mostly regarding the spiritual part of the massage.

A gentle thank you to my inspirers

Thank you to my teachers Kristina Karytinou, Angeliki Touloumi & Nadia Al Huquail for teaching me to be a good person first and for reminding me that practice and all is coming.

Thank you family for teaching me to be a decent & kind human being and for supporting my life decisions even when they don't make any sense.

And to all of you, thanks for leading by example!
